Kunsthaus Berlin

The Kunsthaus has been a contemporary art museum since its beginnings in 1963. Its origins lie in a considerable collection of paintings from the 1920s and 30s. As modern art gained respect and "modernism" spread rapidly through museums and galleries, the Kunsthaus, led by a series of radical directors and curators, continued to explore the most current developments in art.
